Kay passed away on February 11th, 1994 at the age of 42.  Prior to her death she had been the chief accountant at IRCC since 1977.  After graduating from Dan McCarty, she went on to graduate from IRCC and Barry University.  She had been working on her master's degree from Florida Atlantic College.  She was an active member of the Florida Association of Community Colleges and was extremely active with her church Palm Vista Church of God.  She was survived at the time of her death by her husband, two sons William and Robert, one brother, two sisters, her parents and three grandchildren.
