Leslie Ray Childs, age 51, of Fort Pierce, died Thursday, June 12, 2003.

A life-long resident of Fort Pierce, he was born on October 28, 1951,
son of the late Leslie Augustas Childs and Elendor Ray Childs.  He
was a graduate of Dan McCarty High School, class of 1969 and was
active in the 4-H Club and FFA Clubs.  He was the owner of Ray Childs
Auto Repair Service on Orange Avenue where he began working at age 13
with his father at what was then known as the C & H Auto Repair.

An avid bowler, he sponsored and bowled with the C & H Auto Repair
and the Ray's Auto Repair teams.  He was an avid fan of NASCAR racing
and a devout Florida Gators fan.

Surviving at the time of his death were: son - Scott Crupper of LaBelle; daughters - Wendi
Potter and Sarah Childs of Fort Pierce; 5 grandchildren; sister - Sue
Hood of Monteclair, California.
