Ruth Ann Coffey Pratt, 60, died March 5, 2012, at her home. She was born in Fort Pierce and lived in Decatur, coming from St. Lucie County. She graduated from Dan McCarty High School in Fort Pierce in 1969. She worked as a dispatcher for 911 in Fort Pierce, and also as a home health care worker, before moving to Tennessee in 1997. Survivors include her daughter, Heather Powell of Athens, Tenn.; and son, Jonathan Struthers of Decatur; sisters, Ruby Shackelford of Valdosta, Ga., and Elizabeth Green of Fort Pierce; brother, Thomas Coffey of Otto, N.C.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pratt; and parents, Emory and Naomi Coffey. Services: Arrangements are by Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services in Chattanooga, Tenn. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
