William Riordan

William G. Riordan, 43, died December 9, 1995.

 

He was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and came to Fort Pierce in 1963.  He moved to West Palm Beach in 1978 and returned to Fort Pierce two months before his death.

 

He was a licensed practical nurse and a nurse consultant for the law firm of Schuler-Wilkerson-Halverson and Williams of West Palm Beach.  He was formerly associated with the law firm of Gay-Ramsey and Lewis of West Palm Beach.

 

He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served from 1969 to 1972 during the Vietnam War.

 

He served as president of the Licensed Practical Nurses Association of Florida, Inc. from 1985 to 1986 and from 1989 to 1993.  He was a chairman of the National Federation of Licensed Practical Nurses from 1985 to 1995, and was on the Florida State Board of Nursing.  He was a legal nurse consultant in 1991 for ABC television’s “Primetime Live” for “The Dancing Invalid,” and was Education Committee Chairperson from 1992 to 1995 for the South Florida Legal Nurse Consultant.

 

Survivors at the time of his death included his parents, William J. And Georgia Conklin Riordan of Fort Pierce; a brother, Dennis Riordan of Port St. Lucie; and two sisters, Kathleen Kennedy and Trish Riordan , both of Palm Beach Gardens.
