Long ago, but warm, loving memories of the many fun times we shared.

I remember Hale as being very smart, and rather quiet. We were in the same class at Ft. Pierce Elem. from second through fifth grade. We shared classes off and on through junior high and high school. I hate to hear of his death, but a reminder of all those "simple" days. Too many friends have passed on.

In third grade at Fort Pierce Elementary, my two best friends were Hale Weitzman and Danny Davis.  In September of 1959, the first episodes of Bonanza were aired on TV and was very popular.  The three of us would play out the characters during recess. Danny always wanted to be Hoss, I was Little Joe, and Hale was father Ben.  After I went to Lawnwood in 4th grade, we kind of moved on to other friends....  Dennis Gilkey
