Darlene Johns (Vickers)

Darlene Johns Vickers 72 of Kenansville, Florida passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, July 2, 2023. She was a loving wife, mother, and "Maw Maw." She faithfully supported her husband C.G. as he pastored at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church (Ft. Meade), Central Baptist Church (Lithia), and Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church (Davenport), before serving her twilight years as member of First Missionary Baptist Church (Kenansville). In her free time she enjoyed sewing, blessing many of her family and friends with lovingly created quilts. Her passing is mourned by many but not without hope, as we live with expectation of being forever reunited with her in the Kingdom of God.

Darlene is survived by her daughters: Carol Collins (David) of Alachua, Florida, Darcy Morgan (Shawn) of Live Oak, Florida; her brothers: Ernie Johns and Billy Johns, both of Ft. Pierce, Florida; she is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Kenansville. Services will be held in memory of Darlene at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Kenansville on July 7th at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Rodney Rowe, Reverend Gary Munson, Reverend David Wallace and Reverend Runt Robbins officiating. Interment will follow in Kenansville Cemetery, Kenansville, Florida. Lunch will follow the services with family and friends. Active Casket Bearers are Donny Collins, Wally Collins, Murray Harvey, Justin Vickers, David Palmer, Greg Fischer.
